FAQ

How does pricing work? Is there a free tier?

Section titled “How does pricing work? Is there a free tier?”

For up-to-date pricing, see https://tick.ong/pricing. Tickong is a hosted SaaS — you don’t pay for hosting separately, and AI parsing costs are included in your plan.

Yes. Tickong moves messages between folders to keep your inbox tidy and marks them as read. Pointing it at your personal inbox would reorganise your real mail.

Use a dedicated free Gmail / Fastmail address that you forward your ticket confirmations to. A common setup: a Gmail filter on your personal account that auto-forwards anything matching from:(ticketmaster OR axs OR fifa OR seetickets OR eventbrite) to your Tickong inbox.

Does Tickong work with non-Gmail providers?

Section titled “Does Tickong work with non-Gmail providers?”

Yes. Any IMAP-accessible provider works — Gmail, Fastmail, iCloud, ProtonMail Bridge, Outlook, your own mail server.

The folder paths Tickong uses (Tickong/Processed, Tickong/Skipped, Tickong/Failed) are nested-label-style paths Gmail likes. For plain IMAP, change them to INBOX.Processed etc. in Settings → Inbox.

Will Tickong modify my Notion pages after they’re created?

Section titled “Will Tickong modify my Notion pages after they’re created?”

Only the Listing ID field gets updated post-insert (when Vivid auto-listing succeeds). Everything else is set once at creation and never touched. User-managed fields like Status, ROI, Profit are never written to.

Can I disable Vivid auto-listing for one specific email?

Section titled “Can I disable Vivid auto-listing for one specific email?”

Not per-email. You can:

  • Turn auto-list off in Settings before forwarding the email, then back on.
  • Remove the platform from Auto-list platforms so that source never auto-lists.

There’s no per-email opt-out flag — it would require a manual approval step that defeats the point of automation.

Two forwards of the same FIFA confirmation generate the same per-ticket fingerprint (event + date + section + row + seats). The second forward:

  • Reuses the existing Notion page (no duplicate row).
  • Skips the SkyBox auto-list (no duplicate listing).
  • Routes the email to the Tickong/Skipped folder.

Why is Resell set to Retail on insert and not after the listing?

Section titled “Why is Resell set to Retail on insert and not after the listing?”

Retail = Resell at insert time gives an honest baseline: “we paid X, we’d accept X back.” Vivid’s list price is a marketplace target, not a fact — overwriting Resell with the listed price (or worse, a $9999 placeholder) would lie to your ROI formulas. After an actual sale, manually update Resell to the real sale price.

How does Tickong handle multi-currency purchases?

Section titled “How does Tickong handle multi-currency purchases?”

Every per-seat price is converted to USD before being written to Notion. Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank, refreshed hourly. Notion only ever sees USD.

Why does the dashboard show “Last tick: never” right after I sign up?

Section titled “Why does the dashboard show “Last tick: never” right after I sign up?”

The runner has been started but hasn’t completed a poll cycle yet. Wait up to 2 minutes, or click Run once in the toolbar to force a tick immediately.

Yes. Just leave the SkyBox integration off. Tickong will parse emails into Notion and stop there. The Inventory, Pricing, and Sales tabs become inactive but everything else works as normal.

  • At rest — sensitive credentials (your IMAP password, Notion key, SkyBox tokens) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM in the database. Plaintext fields like sale amounts and event names are not encrypted.
  • In transit — all traffic to and from https://tick.ong is HTTPS-only.
  • Tenant isolation — your workspace’s data is scoped by tenant ID at the database query level. There’s no path for one workspace to read another’s data.
  • Cookies — your session cookie is HttpOnly + Secure + SameSite=Lax, with a 30-day expiry.

Yes. Workspace owners can invite teammates from Settings → Team. Pick a role:

  • Owner — full access including settings, billing, invites.
  • Member — runner control, inventory and sales actions, but can’t change settings or invite people.
  • Viewer — read-only.

The teammate gets an email with a 7-day link; they pick a password and join your workspace.

How do I migrate to a different Notion database?

Section titled “How do I migrate to a different Notion database?”
  1. Open the new database, add the Tickong integration, and confirm the schema with Settings → Notion → Test schema.
  2. Update the database ID in Settings → Notion and click Save settings.
  3. Past Notion pages stay where they were. New emails go to the new database.

If you forward an old confirmation that was already processed, Tickong recognises the duplicate and won’t create a fresh row — even in the new database. To re-process old emails into the new database, contact support.

Yes:

  • Sales log — export from the Sales tab.
  • Notion — your tickets are already in your own Notion workspace; export from Notion directly.
  • SkyBox — listings live in your own SkyBox account.

We don’t lock data in. Tickong is a thin layer on top of your existing tools.

From Settings → Account → Close workspace. We delete your workspace’s data within 30 days. Your Notion database and SkyBox listings are not touched — they belong to you.

Section titled “Where do I report a bug or request a feature?”
